How do I add my own words?

Six ways, and they all end up in the same place: type the word, say it out loud, photograph a page of text, paste a whole list of up to 50 at once, catch it from the Quick Add widget on your home screen, or start from one of the 40 ready-made topic decks.

WunderCards then writes the translation, the part of speech and three example sentences for you.

A translation or an example looks wrong

Cards are written by AI, so a rare word — or one with several meanings — can come back wrong. Everything on a card is editable: open it and fix the text.

You can also tap the flag icon while studying to report the card. We read every report and improve the decks.

Why don't I see all my words in one session?

Spaced repetition shows a word shortly before you'd forget it, and stretches the gap every time you get it right. A session mixes words that are due today with a few new ones.

All three numbers are yours to set, separately, in Settings → Learning: Cards per session sets how long a session runs, New cards per session guarantees a minimum of fresh words each time, and Max new cards per day caps how many new ones you take on in a day.

Nothing is due — can I still practise?

Yes. Tap Study again and the session fills up with words you've already seen.

Practising early counts toward your accuracy and your streak, but it deliberately does not push a word further into the future. Otherwise repeating a card a few times in one evening would inflate its schedule and you'd stop seeing it when you actually need to.

Do my words sync between devices?

Sign in with Apple or Google in Settings → Account and your decks, progress and streak follow you.

Signing in is optional — without it everything stays on this device. Studying works offline either way; only AI generation and syncing need a connection.

How do I delete my account and my data?

Settings → Account → Delete My Account. There are two confirmations, because it cannot be undone: it removes your account together with the decks, cards, progress and streak stored on our side, and clears the local copy on the device.

If you only want to stop syncing but keep your words on the phone, use Sign Out instead.

What does Pro give me?

Unlimited AI card generations, unlimited decks, unlimited photo and voice scans, unlimited bulk imports, and Weak Words — the drill that targets the vocabulary you keep getting wrong.

Your remaining free allowance for the month is always shown in the app before you run out of it.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose WunderCards and change or cancel it there. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Changed device, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases.

The app says it can't generate cards

Usually it's the connection: generating a card needs the internet, studying does not. If your connection is fine and it keeps happening, write to us with the rough time it occurred — that is enough for us to find the request in our logs.

Which languages are supported?

You can learn English, German, French, Spanish or Italian, with translations into English, Russian, German, Spanish, Italian or French.

The app's own interface is available in English and Russian.
